There is no relocation assistance available for this position. If relocation is required the selected candidate must be willing to relocate at his/her own expense.
BAE Systems is seeking a Part-time (at least 20 hours/wk), Electronic Technician to support current work in the area of Submarine Trainer Fabrication and Installation.
The candidate will be supporting the fabrication, installation and testing of the latest Submarine Combat, Operator and Navigation Trainers currently installed at all Naval Submarine Training Facilities in the U.S. and overseas and must be willing to travel approximately 25%25-30%25%20of the year on average.
Required Skills and Education
Minimum of one year technical trade school training
Eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (US Citizenship required)
Able to build Network cabling (CAT-5), DB type cables and testing
Able to physically crawl under raised floors and climb ladders and lift items up to 50 lbs
Understands common computer and network interfaces
Able to read and understand system cabling diagrams, wiring tables and mechanical layouts and arrangements
Able to work with various power tools and is mechanically inclined
Preferred Skills and Education
Active Secret security clearance
Experience in the use of soldering equipment
AutoCAD experience
Prior military training
Current Secret Clearance a Plus
