Mechanical Engineering InternNature of Role:
MIKEL is currently planning for a summer internship in Mechanical Engineering to work with our technical staff in areas including solid modeling, additive manufacturing, finite element analysis, data analysis, and simulation.
An opportunity to contribute to one or more of these areas as part of a multidisciplinary team is available.

Responsibilities Working with a mentor, our interns participate in tasks such as solid modeling, mechanical design, assembly planning, data collection and analysis using Matlab or Python Leverage computer aided design (CAD) and prototyping capabilities to support rapid design and additive manufacturing of prototype components Validate analysis results (vibration, thermal, acoustic, material properties, etc.
) using general purpose test equipment Requirements Students enrolled full-time in an ABET accredited degree-granting program in mechanical engineering, ocean engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related engineering major Students should be continuing their education the semester following their internship Knowledge of mechanical engineering theory Strong analytical skills Sustained excellence in academic performance High level desire to help their nation solve our most critical national security problems Work Location:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
